Ban all people who use Ram as a speed boost please. They are all exploiters (according to the people in this topic).

Jesus christ, do you bitch about everything? I'm only asking because it's all I've ever seen you do. If you had been observing players like Martin, then you would have figured out the double ram thing. It's not like it was this great big secret.

This doesn´t change that it is exploiting a skill not working as it should.
BTW are you saying that something is not an exploit, if everybody can do it? ANet disagrees with you, at least when it comes to PvE.

What I'm saying is that this has been known for a long time, likely by ANet themselves. They did nothing about it. This means they either A.) do not care or B.) do not even pay attention to the game that they run. Either way, it's pathetic on their part.
If you want to bitch at someone, then bitch at them. Don't bitch at people who made the top100 because it isn't their fault that a game mechanic works the way it does.

I can comment on that.
I bet Anet knew that right after they let the players start the races. Me myself have only been in ONE race where someone has used this bug/exploit getting 474k So it was NOT possible for EVERYONE to know this bug as I have been racing the WHOLE weekend. As of seeing the info of the bug was posted AFTER the weekend also.
@TheHaxor
The reason Anet did nothing about it IS b/c of the current event that was going on, If they changed it, it would mean they had to add another build of the game and people also were doing the event would not get their Golden title. Seeing "THIS" was the event that would make people get their max lucky title, Anet did NOTHING seeing how many people were afk on the rings Getting their title.
Now Gaile as other GW developers said that Anet Promises to try not to interfere with the players title or take their title away from them and seeing THIS was the event were it was possible to finally get max lucky title Anet did nothing, see if they did, it would cause a rollback OR p*ss off alot of the players seeing that Anet prevented them from getting the max title.
Me I am p*ssed about the beetleraces yes BUT I would not make a Million other players pissed about a title against a prize that NOT EVEN 100 was given out, and those who were given out, those players took advantage as they found out the bug themselfs.
This bug WILL be fixed next time as till then Ill race and race again till I finally get a mini beetle.

I did over 20 hours of rollerbeetle racing and my best score was 456k . Thats with a super boost and no obstructions from others , some people looking at scores obvously cheated and if i find out they get mini beetles there will be hell to pay .

Well Like I said not knowing the bug/exploit my highest score was about 460k by Cutting Corners EXTRA EXTRA HARD as maybe having a echo SRB without any other players knocking me down also speeding up hills.
Anet Now seeing this bug as the event being over, I hope they have a Redux for the race giving out mini's again during the next Boardwalk, Gamer weekend as of Dragon Festival, somewhere around this year.

the ram ram "ultra secret trick" will not get u anywhere near the top 100
theres alot more involved than simply using this trick + some luck with super/echo
alot of people knew about it by the last day and the top 100 was still held by the same people
you may be able to get 465-70 with alot of luck - but you flamers will never get the top 100 you think you might get simply using this one strategy

this is the code of the beetle build; maybe these cheaters know how to modify :d
P.D. Sword (I Use Placebo), the #91: Obecalp, and the #87 La Bopce, maybe are u?
And pls, stop to say these races are skill based; there are a bug/s somewhere and u know to use it.
Ah¡¡ Congratulations for ur unfair mini Beetle;
Really Anet cant do nothing about it?

hmm I just got 458k with 2 super beetles and very little interference so either the people getting 475k+ are getting 3 or more super beetles or something fishy is going on.

And the crying continues in an old topic.
It's simple, folks. Powerups are random. Any individual race is significantly determined by luck.
In the long run, the luck factor averages out. Given enough runs, ALL players get the lucky powerup combination needed to attain a top score. Only the skilled players know what to do with them. It follows that the most skilled players will then dominate the top times, given several hours worth of runs.
It all has to do with when and where you trigger the speed buffs. There are other old topics that could help you get started. But if all you're here to do is QQ, you'll never expend the effort to look for them. Nor will you expend the effort to find ways to improve your time.
Could reference you to the "Fastest 'Elite' Area Times" thread in Riverside for a similar QQ-fest where people don't believe that the "impossible" can be done legitimately.
Change your attitudes, people! If you believe it can't be done, you're going to fail.
At everything you ever do in life.
Until you die.
Poor way to live, as I see it.

It always seems to be this way, those with the time to spend learning every trick, and just when to use speed-ups, will get top scores and not share their strategy. I don't mind, 'cause I don't have the time or patience to spend hours trying to get the right combo even if I knew the secrets. I raced with someone who got 477,000+, he was far ahead of everyone before he even hit the first box.
Is there any thread where a top player explains how they do it? I've noticed a lot of them just say it takes skill to know when to use what, but wont say anything about it (I guess if I got such high scores, or spent all of my time practicing, I wouldn't share my strategy either, would just add more competition).
EDIT: My best score is 462,000+, the only thing I've noticed that helps me is Dash+Dash(+Dash)+Ram (Few seconds in between each), and I don't pull ahead early, that just gets me knocked down a lot.

i love this thread, lol how icant be on top is wonders i have under 100ms ping on average, i dont score higher then 155k and that with 2 echo supers, from frist 4 boxes, being perfect no goign through water or anything of the sort,
but i dod belive some cheat, i had 1 race with the top guy once, was a very very fishing race ,
went as follows all but 1 loaded time r hit 0 every starts as norm,
then guy loads about 30 sec or so it says 30 sec to finish
ad that guy finished the race never saw his beetle once, or noticed everyonein group was wtf, all he said was takes skill
there somethign there doing to skip when they load , to load in a part of race when they want too, no skill other then hacking

Let me provide an example to show you guys how silly your argument is. Take a look at this. (Old school gamers might understand me a little better, but if you've never heard of Gn'G, scroll down and read the comments)
Now you could claim he's cheating somehow, but it's more likely that he just knows every little instance down to a heart beat, and that he's figured out and memorized every perfect timing by repeatedly obsessing over it for a long period of time. And he's undoubtedly practiced and most likely took a few tries to obtain this perfectly sustained run.
Now I'd like to see you try to beat a game like that on your first run through. Of course you can't, because you haven't put in the time or thought that these people have since the first day roller beetle races came out.
To claim they're cheating is not only wrong, but it's an insult to the skill of these people who have perfected roller beetle racing. And there's plenty of evidence to prove that they have done just that. They shouldn't have to be forced to show you the perfect run when they figured it out for themselves just because you claim it can't be done (a claim backed up on the basis that you yourself can't get a time like that, so nobody else could possibly be able to).
Quit QQ'ing and ressing old threads, these myths have been put to rest many-a-times. Go practise beetle racing instead of crying that you can't get these times, atleast you'll be more productive.
